Marlins finish second

The Maumelle Marlins finished second in their swim meet Saturday morning, taking down Conway, but finishing behind Cabot.

The Cabot Piranhas scored 663 points, while the Marlins had 484 and the Conway Crocodiles 404.

Boys

6-Under

Zane Sims gave the Marlins a platinum win in the breaststroke and a gold freestyle win.

7-8

Will Sims had four wins, taking first in the platinum free, butterfly and individual medley and a gold breast.

Daniel Csege won the platinum back and silver breast, while Ty Wunderl took the silver free and IM and Jonathan Walz won the bronze free and IM.

Jerrod Merica won the gold free, Carter Davis the bronze back and Roman Avguchenko the bronze breast.

9-10

Zack Marshall won the gold back and fly, Brendan Rochelle the bronze free and Aaron Boggar the bronze IM.

11-12

Aiden Lively scored wins in the gold breast and silver fly.

13-14

Spencer Hazen was maybe the best swimmer in the pool with platinum wins in the free, back, breast and IM.

Daniel Darnell won the bronze free and back, while Jackson Sheesley won the bronze breast and IM.

15-18

Joshua Abbott won the silver free and breast, while Paul Sheesley won the bronze IM.

GIRLS

6-Under

Ava Dunn won the gold free, while Kate Tuxhorn won the silver free.

7-8

Melia Bugg won the gold fly for the Marlins.

9-10

Eden Hamlin had a pair of wins, taking the silver breast and bronze back.

11-12

Kammie Marshall took home firsts in the gold free and IM.

13-14

Gabrielle Abbott gave the Marlins points for three wins, taking the bronze breast and IM and the silver free. Ellie Shelton won the gold IM and the bronze back, while Megan Atwood won the silver breast.

15-18

Maumelle’s oldest group gave the Marlins their most first place points as well. Bailey Shelton won the gold back, silver breast and bronze fly, while Jordan Marshall won the silver free, fly and IM.

Taylor Elder won the gold free, and Lizzie Musick took the silver back.
