Arkansas Freedom Fund Golf Tournament benefits Arkansas veterans

The Fourth Annual Freedom Scramble Golf Tournament will be held at the Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village on Monday, April 21.

Sixty-four foursomes of golfers from Arkansas and surrounding states will compete for prizes but the real winners will be Arkansas veterans and their families.

Money raised at the tournament is donated to the Arkansas Freedom Fund, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation that serves and supports activities that assist Arkansas veterans, wounded warriors and their families.

One hundred percent of the $28,000 raised at last year’s tournament was used to purchase and fit custom cycles for wounded warriors to use in their rehabilitation process; to help fund the Freedom Angler and Freedom Hunter programs that offer veterans the chance to enjoy the great outdoors, lakes and hunting areas in Arkansas; to a marriage retreat for veterans and their families; and to assist family caregivers that work daily with wounded warriors on their mission of rehabilitation and recovery.

Golfers and non-golfers are invited to come out and support Arkansas veterans at the tournament on April 21 at the Diamante Country Club, 200 Country Club Drive in Hot Springs Village. Diamante is a private course ranked as one of the top 10 courses in Arkansas. There will be 8 a.m. and a 1:30 p.m. shotgun starts. Admission for spectators is free.
