Thanksgiving dinner makings reported stolen

Maumelle police said Kroger Store manager Sherry Underwood reported the theft of the makings for a Thanksgiving meal just two days before Thanksgiving.

Officer Johnathan Johnson said Kroger employees at 110 Commons Drive actually helped the alleged white female shoplifter out of the store, not knowing she hadn’t paid for the food she carried. She was driving a motorized shopping cart at the time and it included a $35 turkey, a $3.99 pumpkin pie and cookies worth $3.49.

Employees said the woman got into a white Buick LaSabre with a white male driving.

Underwood said she would provide police a copy of the videotape which included the cars license plate.
