Commercial burglar arrested

Maumelle police announced the arrest of a North Little Rock man who has been charged in connection with multiple commercial burglaries in Maumelle.

Lt. Jim Hansard said Justin Reeves, 29, has been charged with three counts of residential burglary, one count of breaking and entering and four counts of theft of property.

The alleged burglaries occurred last summer in August and September. And all involved residential construction thefts.

During a search and seizure warrant served on his North Little Rock home, Hansard said detectives found property stolen from four separate burglaries.. They included prefabricated fireplace items and a refrigerator.

Meanwhile car break-in thieves hit seven autos in Maumelle on Friday, Nov.8, mostly in the Osage Falls and Club Manor part of town.

Police said the best deterrent to having your car broken into is to simply lock your doors. Thieves have been known to break windows but that creates sounds and its easier for the thieves to just go on until they find an unlocked vehicle.

All seven vehicles were unlocked, Hansard said.
