Newspaper offices now in North Little Rock

Stephens Media has moved its Central Arkansas Newspapers operations to North Little Rock.

The offices host The Times of North Little Rock, Maumelle Monitor, Sherwood Voice, Jacksonville Patriot and the Arkansas News Bureau.

“We’re happy to be back home in North Little Rock,” said Emily Billings, the newspapers’ General Manager. “Our new location puts us closer to our readers, our advertisers and North Little Rock news and events.”

Stutts receives UCA scholarship

Maumelle’s Callie Ann Stutts recently received a scholarship to attend the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

Stutts, who graduated from the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts in Hot Springs, was accepted to the Norbert O. Schedler Honors College on the UCA campus.

Stutts is the daughter of Charles and Barbara Stutts.

Chamber luncheon set for July 25

The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce will have its July Business Brief Luncheon on July 25.

Lunch will start at 11:30 a.m. and Christopher Crane, the Arkansas Film Commissioner, will be the guest speaker.

Cost is $20 per person and it will be held at the Maumelle Country Club, 100 Club Manor Drive.
