Hydrant testing starts Thursday

Maumelle firefighters will start their annual fire hydrant testing program on Thursday and it will run through Nov. 15.

Residents may experience discoloration in their water for a brief period in areas where we may be working.

Citizens who have questions regarding the program can contact Maumelle Water Management offices at 851-3070, if discoloration last for more then 36 to 48 hours.

Hydrants also will be inspected to make sure they are unobstructed and free of debris. If you have a hydrant in your yard please make sure that it has a clearance of 36 inches around the hydrant in all directions.
