Thanksgiving plans announced

Plans are wrapping up for the Ninth Hometown Thanksgiving luncheon in Maumelle. Tina Timmons, a part of the volunteer group that plans the event said it will start at 11 a.m. and be open until 1:30 p.m. Her organization is called The Timmons Arts Foundation and Maumelle Parks and Recreation both will be joint sponsors.

Costs are $8 for an adult, Seniors 60 years old and more and children ten and young - only $5.

Once again the event will be held in the Jess Odom Community Center.

Timmons said there’l be food, fun, music, TV for football and “time to count all our blessings.” She urged everyone to attend and even to plan on having your Thanksgiving family meal with them.
