Scary Maumelle Boulevard Crash

On Feb. 15, Maumelle police and Maumelle Fire and Rescue answered a call about an accident at the intersection of Arnold Palmer Drive and Maumelle Boulevard and discovered this scary sight upon arrival. Bystanders had already pulled Marva Lewis, 60, of Maumelle out of her 2001 Lexus RX3. Jose Guajardo, 36, of North Little Rock and his passenger Adam Cotton, 27, of Mabelvale were still inside the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck owned by Mid-Central Plumbing, of North Little Rock. A witness told police both vehicles were southbound on Maumelle Boulevard with the pickup in the inside lane slightly ahead of the car in the outside lane when the truck “abruptly” turned into the car and both vehicle left the roadway. All occupants were treated at the scene by Maumelle Fire and Rescue and taken to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
