Phelps to talk on flowers at church

Beth Phelps, county extension agent with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service, will be speaking Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Maumelle in the sanctuary.

She will share everything you need to know about planting a fall garden including when to plant, what pests may be a concern and when it’s time to clean up for the winter.

Phelps is speaking as part of the mission of First Fruits Community Garden to provide education in order to improve the health and wellness of the residents of Maumelle and the surrounding area. Admission is free and open to everyone.
