With 17 homes already occupied, the Villages of San Luis is bustling.
The Rausch Coleman subdivision in Morgan and near Interstate 40 will, eventually, be much larger.
“We have a total of 42 in the first phase,” said Realtor Gwendolyn Parker. “It is a total of 102 lots.”
Parker, who has been a Realtor for 12 years and the last four with Rausch Coleman, said they didn’t start selling lots or homes until October 2013.
“We sold 17 in the first two months,” she said.
Homebuyers have two choices when they buy in the Villages.
The first is a pre-built home and is ready to move into immediately. The other is picking from one of seven available plans and then buying the lot.
Plans range from three bedrooms and two baths at 1,153 square feet, to four bedrooms and two baths at 1,452 square feet. Prices are competitive with new construction at around $100 a square foot with the top price being $142,935.
“Our goal is to provide home ownership,” Parker said.
The Villages of San Luis will have a ribbon cutting the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce at noon on Thursday.
