Natural State Brass Band sets program for April 3 concert

The Natural State Brass Band will perform its spring concert at the Maumelle High School auditorium on Thursday, April 3, 7:30 p.m.

According to band conductor, Rusty Morris, the band will perform an exciting and diverse lineup featuring the music of Leonard Bernstein, Chuck Magione, Carl King and Gioachino Rossini. Neal Moore of Maumelle, will provide narration for the event.

Morris also announced the program for the evening:

Misty — Johnny Burke/Errol Garner, arr. Darrol Barry. Flugelhorn soloist, Larry Crenshaw

Prelude on an Irish Folk Tune — Philip Sparke

Swing Low, Sweet Chariot — arr. Alan Fernie, Bass Trombone soloist, Bill West

America/Somewhere — Leonard Bernstein, arr. Eric Crees, edited by Lee Harrelson

Irish Tune from County Derry — Percy Aldridge Grainger, arr. Denis Wright

Land of Make Believe — Chuck Mangione, arr. Lee Harrelson

William Tell Overture — Giaochino Rossini, arr. Gregor J. Grant

Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite (Encore) Karl L. King, arr. Peter Roberts

Admission to the program is $5 and all proceeds benefit the Maumelle High School Band program.
