It doesn’t much look like a grocery store anymore.

The former Kroger at 101 Commerce Drive held a ribbon cutting last Friday, as it is now Maumelle U Storage.

The cavernous building, 85,000 square feet, has been completely refitted into a storage facility with hundreds of storage units, all under one roof.

A gated and fenced lot also provides storage for boats and recreational vehicles.

A couple dozen RVs were already parked there.

A front lobby has boxes and moving supplies for sale.

Maumelle U Storage is also a licensed U-Haul renter. The building has 24-hour access. For more information, call 772-0555.
