Maumelle Middle School to hold recruiting event

Maumelle Middle School is hosting a special open house recruiting event to showcase new academics programs, clubs, athletics, organizations and activities to prospective students.

The event, which will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. This event is prior to the Pulaski County Special School District’s new student registration, that begins the following Monday, Jan. 27.

“Your passport to educational success,” is the theme said Ryan Burgess, the school’s principal, in a release.

“To that end, there will be free food, as well as the opportunity for visitors to visit ‘stations’ where they can have a passport stamped. At the end of the evening, the passport may be redeemed for a free prize,” Burgess said.

Burgess said the event is for all area families with elementary school students who are curious about Maumelle Middle School and all it has to offer.

“Teachers, administrators – even resource officers – will be on-hand if you would like to meet them and have your questions answered,” Burgess said. “If you have a current middle school student at another school and are interested in seeing Maumelle Middle, you are also welcome.Students at any elementary age from Crystal Hill Elementary, Pine Forest Elementary and Oak Grove Elementary are all invited – it’s never too soon to start getting excited about middle school, and this will be a fun, informative event.”
