Maumelle man dead after Monday-night accident

A Maumelle man involved in a one-vehicle accident Monday has died.

Dylan Poff, 32, lost control of a 2012 scooter and was thrown from the vehicle at about 11:42 p.m. while heading east on Interstate 40 near the Levy Exit in North Little Rock, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police.

Investigating Officer Trooper Alan Johnson reported it was raining at the time of the accident and the road was wet.

Poff was taken to the University at Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock and pronounced dead at 6:07 a.m. Tuesday.

This was the 399th death reported on a state highway this year.
