Pulaski County sheriff’s deputies arrested Travis Randal Carney, 30, of Maumelle on June 6 and charged him with sexual indecency with a child.

According to a report filed by Deputy Justin Leggett, deputies were called to a North Little Rock address after a 14-year-old boy spoke of his experiences to family and friends.

A woman said she let Carney spend the night at her residence “because he claimed he was in the process of moving and did not have a place to stay.”

The report alleges that Carney approached the boy around 1 a.m. and told him if he didn’t drink whiskey with him, then Carney “was going to tell his mother” about him taking a vehicle in the middle of the night without her permission.

Carney allegedly got the boy to sit on his lap, telling him how cute he was and eventually got the boy to “take off his pants,” so Carney could “take photos of his penis.”

The report said when the boy complied, Carney allegedly “took the picture (via cell phone) and proceeded to bite him on his stomach.”

When the boy told his girlfriend what happened, she told her mother, who called sheriff’s deputies.

Leggett said he notified the Arkansas State Police child abuse hot line.
