Maumelle charity elects new officers

The Counting on Each Other, Inc. board of directors elected new officers during its January meeting.

David Hodges was elected Chairman, Jim Payseno, Vice Chairman, Brodie Watson, Treasurer and Tammy Smith as Secretary. The 501c3 non-profit represents the City of Maumelle’s Department of Senior Services.

In partnership with local dentists Austin, Lewis, and Hill, this organization provides free dental care for low income Maumelle seniors.

During 2012 and 2013 the charity provided free hearing aids to seniors in need. They also assisted the Maumelle Senior Wellness Center with necessary unbudgeted purchases and expenses throughout the year, all for the benefit of local seniors.

The board relies on fund raisers to finance their charitable work and plan a Chili Cook Off, ‘Tiques and Fleas”at Lake Willastein Park, and a Shred-It event for early this year.
