Chamber searches for new executive director

The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce is searching for a new executive director following the resignation of Julianne Cole to accept another position.

President Al Canelli said the group is looking far and wide for a new director and he encouraged local Maumelle residents who believe they’re qualified to apply

Canelli said, “I know you join me in wishing Julianne the very best. She has brought this chamber a long way as our executive director, and we will all miss her.”

He also said that the board of directors is beginning the search for a new executive director, and he’s asking for help. The directors are currently in the process of compiling a list of the qualifications of this position; however, if a resident knows someone who might be qualified and interested, he encourages them to advise the potential candidate to contact him.

At the minimum the position will require a college degree as well as good communication and organizational skills, Canelli said. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications. Anyone interested should send Canelli an email at alcanelli@att.net, he said.

Canelli said the chamber is poised to grow and do wonderful things for the Maumelle area and he looks forward to discussing possibilities with promising candidates.
