CenterPoint Energy awards grant to Maumelle

CenterPoint Energy recently awarded the City of Maumelle, Arkansas a Community Partnership Grant totaling nearly $1,400 to be used toward new rope rescue equipment by the local rescue response team.

“We are proud to serve the local community through our Community Partnership Grant program,” said Keith Cragg, area manager of Gas Operations for CenterPoint Energy. “The grant matches each city’s funds which are used to purchase safety equipment that enhances public safety in our communities.”

The 2013 CenterPoint Energy Community Partnership Grant program provides funds and awards up to $2,500 per community served by the company. Priority is given to franchised communities that have not previously received a grant. The cities that receive the grants must use the grant dollars for safety equipment or special safety related projects in the community.
