First Baptist Church of Maumelle, Corner of Maumelle Blvd and Millwood Circle: Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30p.m., there will be a community Kick-off Event for Awana Clubs with games, a bouncy house, food, and more for kids 2 years old through the 6th grade. Clubs will start Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

Beginning Sept. 10, the FBCM Men’s Bible Study will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Activity Center to conduct A Study of Daniel. Contact Chet Obremski at 920-8628, for more information.

A weekly Ladies Bible Study will be held at 10 a.m. beginning Sept. 17 through Nov. 12. “Covenant” by Kay Arthur is a nine-week program to be held in the Activities Center. The cost is $16 for the workbook.

Sunday school begins at 9 a.m. and morning worship at 10:15 a.m., evening worship is at 5 p.m. in the main sanctuary. You are invited to participate in the 5 p.m. Wednesday evening activities beginning with a fellowship meal followed by various youth programs and adult Bible studies. First United Methodist Church of Maumelle, 1201 Edgewood Drive: Contemporary worship is at 8:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. At 9:30 a.m., there is an encounter worship, and at 11 a.m., traditional worship. For more information, go to

Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church, 449 Millwood Circle, Maumelle: Bible studies classes are held each Sunday morning at 9:20 a.m. and each Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. This class is currently studying Acts. As always, you are encouraged to join our regular services each Sunday. A traditional service, which includes the Lutheran liturgy, is held each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. a blended service follows at 10:30 a.m.

Shepherd of Peace’s Mother’s Day Out, Shepherd’s Care, is available each Tuesday and Thursday during the PCSSD school calendar from 9:05 a.m. to 2 p.m. The staff is trained in CPR and has years of experience working with pre-school age children.
