— Spotlight On The Arts — The Maumelle Players are homeless

For the past 7 productions, dating back to Dec. 2009, The Maumelle Players have performed their plays in the Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church on Millwood. Our next show in April will be Harvey. That will be their 8th and final show at the Fellowship Hall. The church will be renovating the building so we will not be able to perform there.. Thanks to Shepherd of Peace, they have had 7 (soon to be 8) wonderful productions. We have played to almost 1,400 people with an average attendance of over 40 people per show. Thank You Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church! You have allowed us to get established in Maumelle.

The Maumelle Players need a home. A place where they can continue to entertain the citizens of Maumelle. They need about 7,000 square feet. They are a 501c3, so your donated building is a deduction.

On to more pleasant news. Some students of the Maumelle Music Teachers League received some high honors at the recent Music Teachers Association of Central Arkansas Sonatina Festival held at UALR. Students of Christine Franklin and Pam Werner participated. Harry Lance (3rd grade – Pam Werner student) won 3rd place in division 1. Students of Christine Franklin winning top honors included Elizabeth Senn, 8th grade student winning 3rd place in Division 2. Rachel Senn. 10th grade, won 2nd place, Division 4.
