JACKSONVILLE TRACK | Lambert’s leap gives him first place in triple jump

Jacksonville took fourth place overall in the 5A-Central Conference Meet Monday afternoon at Beebe High School.

Led by Tresean Lambert, Danial Curly and Jaylon Tucker, the Red Devils finished in fourth place, just points out of third.

Lambert had the team’s lone first-place finish, tying for first in the Triple Jump. Lambert was also fourth in the Long Jump, seventh in the 100m Dash and eighth in the 800m Dash. Tucker did well in the speed events, taking third in the 200m Dash and fourth in the 100m Dash.

Curly had a pair of second place ribbons, taking second in the Long Jump and tying for second in the High Jump. Curly finished fifth in the Triple Jump and sixth in the 200m Dash.

Josh Alcorn finished second in the 110 High Hurdles, while Jeremy Wilson finished fifth. Wilson took sixth in the 300m HH, with Alcorn coming in eighth.

The relay teams also looked solid, taking third in the 4x100, fourth in the 4x800 and fifth in the 4x400.

For the Lady Red Devils, Amber Lockhart finished third in the 100m High Hurdles and fourth in the Long Jump.

Antrice McCoy finished second in the 100m Dash, while Dyshaii Doyne was second in the Long Jump.

Sharron Rowe had a pair of top ten finishes, taking ninth in the Discus and tenth in the Shot Put.
