The Jacksonville Lady Red Devils continued their mission toward an undefeated conference season Friday night with a 77-37 win over the North Pulaski Lady Falcons.

Jacksonville improved to 10-4 overall and 3-0 in the 5A-Central with the win.

“Our goal is to be perfect in the conference, you want that every year,” said Jacksonville coach Katrina Mimms. “We had a pretty good shooting night tonight.”

Jessica Jackson led Jacksonville with 23 points. Markela Bryles added 20 points in the win. Raigen Thomas led North Pulaski with 10 points.

The Lady Red Devils got a night off Tuesday night thanks to the inclement weather. Scheduled to play Little Rock McClellan, Jacksonville will now wait to take on the Lady Cougars when they travel to West Helena Friday evening.

The Lady Cougars have one conference win so far this season, beating the Lady Falcons. They also have a fairly close loss to McClellan and a 67-45 loss against Sylvan Hills.

“Helena always has some pretty athletic girls,” said Mimms. “I think it is a game we should win, but you can’t take anything for granted, especially when you’re going on the road.”

A makeup date to play Little Rock McClellan has yet to be determined.
