Gwatney Chevrolet saw a big lead slip away in a 10-9 loss to Cabot Centennial Bank.
Jacksonville led 7-3 after the first two innings, but things began to fall apart in the third inning.
Before their fortunes turned, Gwatney added another run in the top of the inning when Deaundray Harris walked and scored on a long double by Courtland McDonald.
Ace pitcher Derek St. Clair ran into some control issues in the bottom of the inning, walking the bases the loaded inbetween a line drive out, and also walked in a run.
Ryan Logan cleared the bases with a triple to right, then scored on a single by Kason Kimbrell to tie the game at 8-8. A hit batter was followed by a double that gave Cabot a 10-8 lead.
Jacksonville set the final margin in the fifth with one more run. Harris singled to left to lead off the inning, followed later by a walk to Ryan Mallison. Harris stole third and Mallison second to give the Chevy Boys to runners in scoring position.
Cabot pitched carefully to the middle of the order as Greg Jones walked to load the bases and was followed by Blake Perry also drawing a walk to bring in Harris and pick up an easy RBI, his fourth of the game.
The next batter struck out to end the Jacksonville rally.
