Sex crime sting leads to arrests

The Jacksonville Police Department recently conducted a four-month investigation concerning sexual activity at Cupids Lingerie and More, located at 6111 John Harden Drive. The investigation revealed that men would advertise on Internet websites to meet other men at Cupids for the purpose of a sexual act.

Undercover officers were invited in to a room, referred to as an arcade room where patrons can play movies for a fee.

The suspects then would expose themselves to the officers. Five arrests have been made. Each was charged with public sexual indecency, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.

All five have pled guilty and were sentenced to pay fines.

The five men arrested in the sting were: Norman D. Langston, 62; of Beebe; Charles E. Myers, 62, of Cabot; Joseph M. Clyburn, 68, of North Little Rock; James A. Wilkey, 49; of Little Rock; and Terry J. Defoure, 62, of Augusta.
