Aug. 15

Leslie Christopher, 31, of North Little Rock, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after she tried to steal $8.46 worth of candy and a Mountain Dew at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2000 John Harden Drive.

Jake VanNostrand, 22, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of public intoxication and loitering after police saw him walking down the middle of North Bailey Street at 3:59 a.m. headed toward West Main Street.

Gary McCruder, 38, of Jacksonville was arrested on a charge of third-degree domestic battery after his girlfriend told police he punched her in the face.

Aug. 14

Aneese Young, 18, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of assault on a family member, after police were called to her home at 209 Stonewall Drive in reference to a physical domestic disturbance.

Kevin Harris, 19, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of criminal intent to commit burglary, possession of instruments of crime, carrying a weapon and loitering after he was observed at Jim’s Pawn Shop, 120 N. First St., walking in the area passing by parked cars. Police recovered from him a pair of pliers and screw drivers.

Janet Alexander, 49, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of DUI first offense, failure to register, no vehicle registration and no proof of insurance after police responded to the scene of an accident with an injury at 2900 John Harden Drive.

Aaron Hadley, 26, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of fleeing, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) after police were called to John Hancock Road when they saw Handley walking in front of Mount Pisgah Church. Hadley had a warrant out for his arrest.

Bryan Smith, 27, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) after police were called to the 180 block of Roosevelt Road when they saw Smith headed eastbound on the street with a broken windshield.

Aug. 13

Desmond Matthews, 18, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, accident with damage (hit and run), no driver’s license, and no insurance after police responded to 200 Crestview Drive in reference to a private property accident where the offender drove away from the scene.

Anthony Whitt, 43, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of third-degree assault, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening and disorderly conduct after police responded to his home at 109 Foxdell Circle after receiving a report of an intoxicated person there.

Brittany Byrd, 21, of Jacksonville was arrested on a charge of obstructing government operations after police were dispatched to 1714 Leonard St. in reference to a report of someone making threats and harassing calls.

Ben Yehuwdah, 33, of Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police served a search warrant at his Little Rock home on Peters Road in Little Rock.

Marquita McFarland, 28, of Jacksonville Rock was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after police served a search warrant at a Little Rock home on Peters Road in Little Rock.

Eric Sampson, 33, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, maintaining a drug premises, possession of firearms by certain persons, and unauthorized use of another person’s property or facility. The charges came after a search warrant was served on a home on Peters Road in Little Rock.

Gregory Smith, 53, of North Little Rock, was arrested on a charge of DWI after police stopped his vehicle near the area of School Street and Sandalwood Drive.

Aug. 12

Walter Tate, 49, of Little Rock was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after he drank a bottle of Ensure Vitamin Drink and put it back on a shelf without paying for it while it was at Knight’s Grocery Store, 315 S. James St.

Latasha Horn, 23, of Jacksonville was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after trying to leave the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2000 John Harden Drive, without paying for $66.92 worth of sheets and a Sprite.

Aug. 11

Jennifer Donner, 29, of North Little Rock was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after she tried to leave the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2000 John Harden Drive, without paying for $95.56 worth of miscellaneous clothes.

Kenneth Sims, 43, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of third-degree battery and second-degree interfering with a police emergency after police were dispatched to an apartment at 1310 Smithwick Drive in reference to a domestic battery report.

Aug. 10

Derek Benham, 38, of Russellville was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (Xanex) after police stopped his vehicle because he was following too closely behind another vehicle along the 300 block of North First Street.
