Pulaski County led the state in home sales for June 2013, as reported by the Arkansas Realtors Association.
The ARA report showed that Pulaski County was first in five of six categories, leading in most units sold, highest valuations and highest average prices for the month; and highest valuations and highest average prices for the year. Pulaski County was second only to Benton County in the category of most units sold for the year, trailing by eight homes.
For the year to date, sales were up. The report indicated Pulaski County saw 440 units sold in June 2013, compared to 405 in June 2012. For the year-to-date, sales were also up: 2,144 by June 2013 compared to 2,031 by June 2012.
The month’s valuations were up 20 percent, according to the report, increasing from $76,380,570 in June 2012 to $92,198,480 in June 2013. The year-to-date valuation figures were also up, by 9 percent.
The average price of homes in June 2012 was $188,594, compared to $209,542 in June 2013, an 11 percent increase. For the year to date, average home prices in Pulaski County were up slightly from $185,203 in 2012 to $192,081 in 2013.
