The Jacksonville City Council on June 5 was advised Rick Love and Sharon Malnar have done a good job serving on the North Pulaski Waterworks Board.
Bill Driggers, vice chairman of North Pulaski Waterworks, told council members that the water board has benefited from their participation.
“Our ability to work together on water issues has proved to be extremely beneficial to us and I hope that the same can be said by you,” Driggers said.
Driggers asked that the council reappoint both of them to the waterworks board.
Love serves as Position 1 board member while Malnar serves as Position 5 member, according to Driggers.
“It is the wish of the board that they be reappointed to continue service in their current positions,” Driggers said. “Both Mr. Love and Ms. Malnar have been wonderful board members and the board as a whole feels it is stronger because of their input and participation.”
The waterworks board voted recently to reappoint Love and Malnar to their posts.
“Should you need additional information on either Mr. Love or Ms. Malnar, please do not hesitate to contact us,” Driggers said. “We look forward to many more years of a wonderful working relationship.”
Driggers said he would await the council’s decision to reappoint Love and Malnar to their offices.
“Let me know and I’ll arrange for them to receive the oath of office at the appropriate time,” Driggers said.
The board’s decision to reappoint them passed with a unanimous vote, according to Driggers.
