Jacksonville chamber to have membership meeting on Sept. 17
The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce has set its quarterly general membership luncheon for Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 11:30 a.m. at the Jacksonville Community Center, 5, Municipal Drive.
The guest speaker is Bruce Upton, who will be speaking on the topic of how people can protect themselves and their businesses from identity theft. The cost of the luncheon will be $15 per member and $20 for non members with an advanced registration, or $20 after Sept. 10. People are asked to RSVP by Sept. 10 by 5 p.m. by calling 982-1511 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Jacksonville chamber makes September plans
The following meetings are scheduled this month for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce:
Sept. 9 — Education Committee at 4 p.m. in the chamber boardroom;
Sept. 10 — Military/Government relations meeting at 11:30 a.m. in the chamber boardroom.
Sept. 12 — Executive Board meeting at 8:30 a.m. in the chamber boardroom.
Sept. 17 — General membership luncheon at 11:30 a.m. in the chamber boardroom.
Sept. 24 — Pulaski Tech grand opening Ceremony, the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute at 2 p.m. at 13000 Interstate 30.
5K run to benefit St. Jude set for Sept. 21
Chili’s Highway 167 St. Jude & Children’s Hospital 5K Run is set for Sept. 21 at 7:30 a.m. The run will be held at the Jacksonville Community Center located across from Chili’s in Jacksonville.
