Jacksonville’s Park of the Month

The Jacksonville Parks & Recreation held a Park of the Month at North Lake Park on April 13, Friends and family from the community showed up to enjoy the food, fun, and activities offered at the event. Coach Lindley and art students from Jacksonville High School brought many pieces of art for everyone to browse through. Local artist and designer, Robert Jones, also displayed his artwork also. The kids made works of art with finger paints, bubbles and sidewalk chalk. The Park of the Month program introduces some of the city’s parks and facilities to the citizens of Jacksonville and visitors alike, according to Marlo Jackson of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. Jackson said the public is invited to join Jacksonville Parks & Recreation at Paradise Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, to let the kids go fishing.
