Federal grant for Jacksonville law enforcement announced

The city of Jacksonville will receive $20,079 from the U.S. Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistant Grant, Arkansas’ federal lawmakers announced recently.

The funds — commonly referred to as the JAG grant — will be used for equipment, which will help reduce the number of car accidents and aggressive driving, according to the press release.
