Sheriff’s deputies are asking the public for help locating a mini-race car and other items stolen from Jacksonville.

The missing items include a $15,000 orange-and-purple Danny Nelson Race Craft Chassis drag race car, a $4,500 2008 red Honda Recon 250, $1,500 in various Craftsman tools, a $200 black Simpson racing helmet and a $200 maroon-and-silver Simpson racing helmet.

Deputies were called on Thursday to the location on Arkansas 107 in Jacksonville, where they spoke with the property owner and another man who had been storing items at the site. The man believed the items had been stolen Wednesday night after someone broke the locks on the trailer where the items were stored.

They said that since a recent fire at the residence, people had been coming onto the property from the direction of Kenwood Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office at (501) 340-6963. To remain anonymous, call the Central Arkansas Crimestoppers tip line at (501) 340-8477.
