Beebe announces pardons for Jacksonville, Carlisle residents

Gov. Mike Beebe announced recently his intent to grant one commutation and eight pardons. An additional 16 clemency requests were denied and 23 had no action taken upon them. These include requests from both inmates and non-inmates.

Of these pardons, two reside locally.

Beebe said he intends to grant pardons to the following local people:

1) Jerry L. Lee of Jacksonville, who was convicted of Domestic Battery in 1999 in Pulaski County District Court.

“This notice is issued based on the date of conviction the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application,” according to Beebe’s press release.

2) Gary P. Wilson of Carlisle, who was convicted of Burglary and Theft of Property in 1982 in Pulaski County.

“This notice is issued based on the date of conviction, the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.”
