Jacksonville Love 5K run set for Saturday

Here is the T-shirts which will be given away as supplies last Saturday for people who participate in the 5K run.

The Jacksonville Peace, Love and Run 5K run is set for Saturday, Nov. 2, starting at 8 a.m.

The Arkansas Special Olympics event is being coordinated by the Jacksonville City Police Department.

The pre-registration costs $25 for adults and $20 for students. The fee is $30 for the day of the race.

Registration is from 6:30-7:30 a.m. on the day of the race. Money orders should be made payable to Special Olympics Arkansas.

A T-Shirt will be given to all pre-registered racers. On the day of the race, the t-shirts will be passed out while supplies last.

Overall awards will be given to first, second, third place male and female finishers in the following age groups: 20 and under, 21 to 34, 35 to 49, and 50 and over. First place winners will receive an overall prize. Awards will be presented on the Main Stage at 10 a.m.

Breakfast will be provided by the Golden Corral Restaurant of North Little Rock for race participants. The race will take place from start to finish at the Dupree Lake Park.
