Dec. 31

Arrests

Michael R. Henson Jr., 24, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of DWI/drugs and was issued a citation on a charge of disregarding a stop sign after police observed him run a stop sign while driving in the area of North Valley and Randal streets.

Incidents

Police reported that one of their cruisers had been shot with paintballs numerous times while at a residence. Police observed the cruiser parked outside of a Country Club home that had been shot seven or eight times. Officers reported Furniture For Less, a nearby business, had been shot with paintballs, too. Country Club resident Darren Austin also told police that his house had been shot with paintballs. He found six orange paint spots on his house.

Arrests

David Byrd, 26, of North Little Rock was arrested on a charge of third-degree domestic battery after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a Cornflower Street home.

Thefts

A cashier at the Flash Market on Warden Road told police that an unknown person stole $43 worth of beer from the store.

Dec. 29

Arrests

Patricia M. Lacara, 55, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of communicating a false alarm after police were dispatched to the Brookswood Trailer Park where a woman was walking up and down the road yelling “fire.”

Brian Wood, 23, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI Second Offense and driving with a license suspended for DWI after police were investigating why there was a vehicle parked with its lights off at Capital Ford Equipment located in the area of Landers Road. According to the police report, the business has been a frequent victim of thefts. During the same incident, Tara Wallace, 18, of Little Rock was arrested on a charge of public intoxication. Phillip Patire, 28, of Ward, was arrested on charges of public intoxication and carrying a weapon.

Casey A. Meadows, 38, of Conway was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver (Y Felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (D Felony), false evidence of registration (D Felony), and was cited for failure to register. During the same incident, Tanya A. Duke, 38, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a minor (D Felony). The charges resulted after police were dispatched to a Hemphill Road home in reference to a possible burglary in progress.

Thefts

Joe Bickers of Sherwood said a pressure washer that was mounted on a 16-foot trailer had been stolen from a construction site located on Brockington Road near Arkansas 107. The washer is valued at $8,500. It had been last seen on Dec. 24.

James Filek Jr. of Sherwood said he received a phone call from American Agencies, address unknown, which is a billing company advising him he owed an outstanding balance of $170.42. Filek said he had been a victim of financial identity theft. There are no suspects.

Accidents

Fred Jarry of Jacksonville said he was in the far right lane on East Kiehl Avenue traveling east and stopped in traffic. Jarry stated the traffic started moving again and he then abruptly stopped. He tried to quickly stop his vehicle but struck the rear of another vehicle driven by Erin Hays of Sherwood. Jarry’s vehicle sustained $750 in damage compared to $100 in damage to Hays’ vehicle. Jarry was issued a citation for following too close. No injuries were reported.

Dec. 28

Incidents

Police were dispatched to Bikers Performance on Brockington Road where employees reported that two unknown men were recorded on surveillance tape throwing a large rock at the glass and breaking it, causing $1,000 in damage.

Leo Square III, 29, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance (Y Felony), simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms (Y Felony), and possession of drug paraphernalia (Y Felony). The arrest resulted from a policeman seeing Square at the Phillips 66 Station on East Kiehl Avenue. According to the police report, he met the description of a man who had attempted to steal a motorcycle at the Links Apartment Complex.

Arrests

Alfred Crossland, 53, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and five counts of possession of a controlled substance after police observed him run through a red light and almost collide with a vehicle on Shelby Road. The vehicle was later stopped on East Woodruff Street.

Daniel P. Roe, 19, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police observed a man stagger down the road on Powell Drive.

Kenisha L. Duhart of Little Rock was arrested on a charge of obstructing government operations after police observe her vehicle exit a parking stall at the New Brittany Apartment Complex at a quick rate of speed.

Thefts

Kelley Graham of Conway said his 2003 Tahoe had been broken into while parked outside of Gander Mountain on Landers Road. The passenger side window had been smashed but police said there did not appear to be any other damage to the vehicle. Missing items include a DVD player, mobile phone and a digital camera, resulting in $450 in stolen property and $250 in damage to his vehicle.

Jessica Aikens of Sherwood said she arrived home at about 7:15 p.m., entered her house through the garage door, and came into the kitchen but noticed leaves on the floor. She said someone had broken into her home on Creekdale Drive and stole about $1,600 worth of game systems, a laptop computer and five televisions.

Dec. 27

Incidents

Katherine White of Sherwood said she had been away from her Rixie Road mobile home since Dec. 22 and stated upon her return on Dec. 27 she observed the blinds in the middle bedroom were damaged. She said she has found nothing missing from her home. The miniblinds in the bedroom were torn.

Kevin Moody of Sherwood said sometime during the night an unknown person shot the front windshield of his 1992 Ford Econoline 350 vehicle. The vehicle had been parked along a curb on Randall Drive during the evening.

Thefts

Patricia Smith of Sherwood said her purse was stolen out of the back seat of a vehicle she was parked at the Skate Connection on Kiehl Avenue. The vehicle, owned by Cherie Smith of Little Rock, had the rear passenger window broken out. Her purse had a bank card stolen.

Arrests

Crystal Hilborn, 25, of Little Rock was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and was issued citations for no insurance, display of license, and driving with a suspended license.

Herman C. Haralson, 58, of Jacksonville was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police observed him walking from the east side of Arkansas 67/167 to the west side.

Accidents

Curtis York of North Little Rock said he was stopped at a red light in the northbound lanes of Arkansas 107 and Maryland Avenue. He said he saw a vehicle sliding up behind him and knew he was about to get hit. After the unknown car struck York’s vehicle, it backed up, went around him, and drove off at a high rate of speed. York said he didn’t see the license plate but followed the vehicle up to Kellogg Acres Road which is the last place he saw it. York’s vehicle sustained about $950 worth of damage to the rear bumper and his trunk would not open.

Sean Daughtery of Little Rock said he was backing from a parking space along East Woodview Avenue and that the passenger side rear door of his vehicle struck the driver’s side front corner of a Honda Accord owned by Amber Johnson of Rison. Each vehicle sustained about $350 in damage.

Dec. 26

Arrests

Robert Peterson, 27, of Little Rock was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a ditch in the area of Calloway and Brockington roads.

Bertrand Eke, 23, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of fleeing and loitering after police responded to the Big Red Fina on East Kiehl Avenue in reference to a report of a man panhandling for money.

Accidents

Louis Wilson of North Little Rock said two deer ran across Arkansas 107 in the area of Oakbrooke Drive in front of his vehicle. He struck one of the deer, damaging his driver’s side headlight, hood, and bumper.

Dec. 25

Arrests

Gerald K. Watts, 54, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 after receiving a report of a shoplifter who took some rechargeable batteries.

Benacek S. Thompson, 36, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of no driver’s license, careless/prohibited driving, possession of a controlled substance (B Felony) and DWI after police observed him run a stop sign in the area of Kiehl Avenue near Longstreth Street.

Kevin Fowler, 23, of Little Rock, was arrested on charges of second-degree domestic battery and first-degree criminal mischief. He was transported to the Pulaski County Detention Facility after police responded to a fight in the area of the Subway Restaurant at Kiehl Avenue and Brockington Road.

Thefts

Jim Wing, manager of National Home Centers on Landers Road, said it appeared someone had stolen a microwave from one of its storage buildings. There are no suspects.

Dec. 24

Arrests

Christopher Mallonee, 22, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of DWI and careless/prohibited driving after police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Arkansas 107 north of the Little Rock Air Force Base. According to the police report, Mallonee lost control of his vehicle and drove into a ditch. Damage to his car totaled $750.

Cheryl Allen, 44, of North Little Rock was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in reference to a report of shoplifting. According to the police report, store security personnel saw her take $70 worth of clothes.

Harvey D. Owen, 23, of Little Rock was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police saw him stand in the middle of the intersection of King and Burn streets pointing his finger and motioning like he was shooting a pistol.

Thefts

Steve Coffman, an employee of Car Biz located on Newman Drive, reported he found an office window had been shattered. In addition, a large hole had been cut in the security fence at the south side of the parking lot. Items missing from the office include a 52-inch plasma screen television valued at $3,000. Damage to the fence is $300 an the office window is at $500. There are no suspects at this time.
