Calapari to speak to Tip-Off Club

Memphis Tigers Coach John Calapari will be the guest speaker at the Downtown Tip Off Club’s luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock.

Calapari guided the Tigers to the 2008 NCAA Championship game, where they lost to Kansas. The Tigers are currently ranked ---- in the ESPN/USA Today Poll and --- in the AP poll.

The Downtown Tip Off Club, hosted by the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce is in its third year. Proceeds from the club go to support Juvenile Diabetes, United Cerebral Palsy, Jammin’ for Jackets and the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.

UA-North Texas tickets on sale

The Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team make its annual appearance in North Little Rock and tickets are now on sale for the game with North Texas at Alltel Arena on Jan. 3 are on sale.

Tickets are $25. plus service charges.

Tickets are on sale at the Alltel Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets.

SEC tourney’s tickets available

Tickets for the Southeastern Conference Women’s Tournament, set for March 5-8 at Alltel Arena, are now on sale.

Reserved tickets are $90 for the reserved seats and $60 for general admission.

Single-session tickets are not available until the start of the tournament.

Tickets are available at the Alltel Arena box office, and at Ticketmaster outlets.
